Lance Baily, BA, EMT-B, is the Founder & CEO of HealthySimulation.com. While serving as the Director of the Nevada System of Higher Education’s multi-institutional multi-disciplinary Clinical Simulation Center of Las Vegas from 2009 to 2012, Lance started this independent resource website to better support the international Healthcare Simulation community. The website, newsletter, youtube, and social media accounts help thousands of unique visitors a month with the latest medical simulation related news, ce webinar and course content, job postings, conference listings, expert interviews, helpful guides, product demonstrations and more.

His co-edited book: “Comprehensive Healthcare Simulation: Operations, Technology, and Innovative Practice” is available now and focuses on the implementation of healthcare simulation operations, as well as the type of professional staff required for developing effective programs in this field. Though there is no single avenue in which a person pursues the career of a healthcare simulation technology specialist (HSTS), this book outlines the extensive knowledge and variety of skills one must cultivate to be effective in this role.

In 2011 Lance also founded The Gathering of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists (SimGHOSTS.Org), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides online resources and annual hands-on training events to Healthcare professionals around the world which has been hosted by: Mohammed bin Rashid Medical Center Dubai, Cedars-Sinai Simulation Center LA, GAPS Center London, Clinical Skills Development Service Brisbane, and S3 SingHealth Singapore.

In early 2017, Lance helped SIMCharacters with the Global launch of Pre-term Simulator Paul, producing his first “viral” campaign with over 9M views in one week on Facebook for Paul’s launch video. As an experienced entrepreneur, digital media producer and administrative professional – Lance has the background and the experience necessary to guide healthcare simulation projects to the next level!

Prior to serving as the Director of the CSCLV, Lance worked as a Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialist for the LA Community College District. Prior to clinical simulation Lance worked as a volunteer Fire Fighter, trained around the world to become a PADI Rescue Diver, and worked on set with Tom Hank’s Hollywood production company Playtone. He earned his accelerated bachelor’s degree with honors in Film & Digital Media production from the University of California: Santa Cruz in 2004. Lance is also a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do martial arts and an avid video gamer excited for the future of XR and blockchain technologies in healthcare.

Lance now lives with his wife Dr. Abigail Baily, their daughters, and their two crazy dachshunds in Las Vegas, Nevada where they share a passion for hiking, rock climbing, scuba diving, board gaming and world travel.
