Pacific Northwest Healthcare Simulation Collaborative Supports Region
Zach Eastwood, BS, CHSOS Technology and Operations Manager at Swedish Simulation Center, wrote in to share more about the Pacific Northwest Healthcare Simulation Collaborative (PNWHSC) which provides a forum for members to discuss simulation, share evidence-based best practice for simulation learning experiences, as well as, share individual expertise, techniques, tools, and resources in simulation training. Today we take a look at this emerging group and the multiple free resources they are providing!
PNWHSC members are educators, practitioner’s researchers and stakeholders from schools of nursing and medicine, hospitals, and industry. Their membership cost $30 per year and grants access to our directory of over 90 Healthcare Simulation Professionals, our members forum, priority and discounted access to PNWHSC hosted events, networking opportunities at major simulation conference, simulation article reviews, and more!
The Collaborative strives to integrate and expand simulation training, methodology and technology in healthcare education for enhancing competencies and confidence of healthcare providers. The ultimate purpose of the Collaborative is to improve patient safety and save lives in the communities it serves. Their mission is to promote safe, effective, quality healthcare for the citizens of the Pacific Northwest through the development of rigorous practice, evaluation, and research of simulation training and technology.
