ASPIH Vendor Video: Lifecast Body Simulation Unveils Realistic Vivienne Geriatric Female Simulator
Continuing our review of the latest medical simulation technology innovations from ASPiH 2018, today we share a video of a new product which was unveiled at the event. Created from the team at Lifecast Body Simulation, Vivienne is a new mid-fidelity geriatric patient simulator with realistic skin and external anatomy for clinical skills education. Our on camera interview with David Halliwell MSc, MCPara, helps to showcase the awesome realism of this new manikin.
Molded from a scan of a real geriatric woman, the Lifecast Older Adult Female features lifelike fine details such as veins and underlying structures as well as hair and includes an airway and articulated mouth for airway management. Created to a weight that allows realistic handling and the height of an average elderly senior, the Lifecast manikin will encourage a higher level of simulation immersion with realistic patient presentation.
Now available to order, the Lifecast Body Simulators are highly accurate and lifelike adult bodies designed and manufactured in the UK. Based on the scans and Lifecast’s of real people, the Lifecast manikins feature lifelike fine details such as veins and underlying structures as well as hair and includes an airway and articulated mouth for airway management.
