The New CAE Ares is Much More Than an ALS Manikin
Patient simulation has proven itself to be an effective modality for training in both routine and emergency patient care. And while a growing number of paramedic programs, worldwide, incorporate simulation-based education for assessment, problem-solving and critical thinking, there is an expressed need for simulation to be used in a broader capacity. - CPR metrics/cardiac assessment
- advanced airway training
- cardioversion, pacing, and defibrillation
- needle decompression and intramuscular injection
- intraosseous and intravenous access as well as SymEyes, which simulate medical states and conditions
This emergency care patient manikin additionally converts from male to female with ease. The CAE Ares software includes six Simulated Clinical Experiences (SCEs) that address four of the most common EMS alerts, namely, trauma, sepsis, cardiac and stroke.
The timing for CAE Ares to come to market could not be more perfect. In January 2018, CAE Healthcare delivered the initial American Heart Association-accredited Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) courses to clinical professionals in Brunei at the CAE Brunei Multi-Purpose Training Centre.
