The SimNewB simulator is designed in collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics to help improve neonatal resuscitation and to meet the specific learning objectives of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and stabilization protocols. Focusing on the first 10 critical minutes in a newborns life, SimNewB provides realistic training for critical interventions and team communication. Most infants transition from in utero to breathing on their own at birth without assistance. But approximately 4% -10% will need some assistance with first breaths.
