Abstract:

Answering the call of their members, the Organization for Associate Degree Nursing (OADN) organized a team of leaders, nursing faculty, and nursing simulationists to develop a free database to assist faculty with identifying virtual simulation options. The OADN Simulation committee consists of nursing education simulationists who review virtual simulation products for their alignment with the Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice (HSSOBP). The reviews are offered at no cost via an online database hosted by a third-party partner. In this webinar, members of the review team will discuss the virtual simulation product review process and demonstrate the use of the virtual database. Participants will learn how to register on the virtual simulation review website and view the reviews currently housed there. The OADN committee also provides free educational offerings to support faculty in the use of all modalities of simulation in nursing education.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Describe the Virtual Simulation Product Reviews (VSR) platform from the Organization of Associate Degree Nursing (OADN)
  2. Describe the virtual simulation review rubric and process.
  3. Demonstrate the registration process for the free resource and share best practices.
