Presentation Abstract
There is a lack of understanding on to best utilize Telehealth Practices. Technology and Telehealth have been thrust upon us and providers are unsure how best to use the technology. After this course providers will better understand the terminology and history of Telehealth/Telemedicine, equipment and technology, proper etiquette and legal issues as well as sustainability within programs. Currently with the pandemic occurring clinical placements are limited and this will provide education for learners on this timely topic.

- Discuss history of Telehealth/Telemedicine and terminology of Telehealth.
- Describe the equipment required for implementing a legal/ethical program as well as various mediums for remote patient monitoring currently available.
- Recognize best practices for providing the most value to patients and including empathy in the telehealth program.

Presenter Biography
Many years of nursing and healthcare experience with a wide variety of both clinical and academic opportunities throughout the United States. The majority of clinical experience has been in the Emergency Department with a special focus on pediatrics, geriatrics, special needs groups and team building. The Vision of Innovative SimSolutions is to provide Safe healthcare for patients and providers. I am passionate about using simulation as a means to transform healthcare through expanding the art and science behind simulation. I remain ardent about sharing this message and helping others to recognize the value simulation training can provide to individuals, teams in healthcare organizations.
