Abstract:

The International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS) is the leading global organization dedicated to improving pediatric outcomes through simulation-based education, research, and interprofessional collaboration. With members representing over 57 countries and spanning a wide array of disciplines—including physicians, nurses, educators, and researchers—IPSS fosters a vibrant, inclusive, and innovative community that advances the field of pediatric simulation worldwide.

This presentation will introduce the mission, vision, and strategic initiatives of IPSS, with a focus on the diverse benefits of membership. Key offerings include access to a rich scenario library of over 150 peer-reviewed simulation cases, exclusive professional development resources, reduced rates for international events such as IPSSW, and leadership and research collaboration opportunities. Particular attention will be given to the IPSS-INSPIRE Pediatric

Simulation Fellowship, a flagship program that cultivates early-career simulationists through mentorship, structured project development, and global exposure.

Attendees will learn how IPSS supports global outreach, promotes equity and diversity in simulation, and provides a unique platform for like-minded professionals to connect, contribute, and lead in pediatric simulation. The session will conclude with a call to action for healthcare professionals to join the society and become active participants in shaping the future of pediatric simulation.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the mission, vision, and global impact of the International Pediatric Simulation Society (IPSS).
  2. Identify key benefits of IPSS membership, including access to pediatric simulation educational resources, leadership opportunities, and global networking.
  3. Explore ways to actively engage in IPSS initiatives, such as the IPSS-INSPIRE Fellowship, scenario library, and international conferences.
