The ultimate goal for hospital-based clinical simulation center should be to improve patient care. This CE webinar will focus on designing and developing multi-room/site and interdisciplinary simulations. In this CE presentation, the presenter will discuss the importance of working with other units within the care system (i.e., quality) to identify areas of patient care that need improvement. The presenter will also showcase the importance of simulating the entire patient encounter from “triage to discharge.” Examples of how using a mixture of high and low-fidelity simulators and simulated patients can take your medical simulation program to another level.
Mark Rose is the clinical simulation operations manager for Cape Fear Valley Health System in Fayetteville, NC. He’s been involved in healthcare simulation and education since 2010. Before that, he was a Firefighter and paramedic. Mark led the efforts to design and build a state-of-the-art multi-room hospital-based simulation center. The 6000 sq foot simulation center was designed to accommodate multi-room interdisciplinary simulations. Every inch of the simulation center was designed to improve the care we deliver to the patients in the community. Mark is passionate about developing simulations that improve patient incomes and accomplishes this by using different levels of fidelity and standardized patients.
