Pediatric healthcare requires a continuous level of innovation to advance patient safety. This webinar will explore the challenges and opportunities within pediatric care, the importance of standardization in healthcare simulation and future trends within the field. This webinar will examine factors related to pediatric healthcare conditions and assess successful approaches for enhancing patient outcomes, as well as illustrate the distinctive physiological characteristics of Aria that enhance pediatric simulation and promote patient safety. Finally, the presenter will showcase software with physiologically modeled features that advance the fidelity of pediatric simulation, benefiting both learners and practicing professionals in their training.

Sasha Edwards
Virtual Simulation Demo Specialist at Elevate Healthcare
Sasha Edwards is a Clinical Educator/Virtual Simulation Demo Specialist at Elevate Healthcare (formerly CAE Healthcare) and has worked in healthcare simulation since 2012. She is accustomed to many roles including Simulation Technician, Senior Simulation Specialist, Clinical Skills Trainer, Program Coordinator/Instructor for American Heart Association (AHA) Programs, Program Coordinator for Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Program Coordinator/Instructor for Advanced Stroke Life Support (ASLS). Prior to healthcare simulation, Sasha spent 11 years in EMS/Fire as the Assistant Training Officer for her service, an EMS Educator, and AHA Training Center Coordinator for VT EMS District #8. She is currently achieving a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with future plans to obtain her master’s degree.
