Abstract:
What does “High Reality” mean? What is the difference between High Reality and High Fidelity in simulation? Why is High Reality so important? One of the biggest advancements we see in the healthcare simulation industry is the increased level of realism. While the term “high fidelity” is well-known in clinical simulation, it does not necessarily mean that it is realistic. High reality focuses on creating a truly believable medical simulation using lifelike manikins and collaborative technology. Join us as we discuss the difference between “High Reality” and “High Fidelity” and discuss the importance of realism in simulation today!
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate between “high-realism” and “high-fidelity”.
- Apply this difference to patient simulators on the market.
- Understand the potential high-reality simulators have to increase learner outcomes.
