In this virtual learning lab, Elbert Waller, MSc, CHSOS, will demonstrate how he’s leveraging the industry-first customizable AI Characters and assessment tools, combining these with his decade-long simulation and clinical experience to create AI-powered asynchronous and synchronous learning experiences on Lumeto’s InvolveXR platform. Participants will also see a demonstration of two different AI systems – a Conversational AI that powers a realistic patient conversation, including verbal and non-verbal responses, and an Artificial Clinical Evaluator that automates checklists and assessments. Both systems can be customized using just plain text. The presentation will also showcase novel ways of using AI-enabled patients to adapt learning experiences on-the-fly and to onboard users into VR. Use cases of how institutions are delivering powerful learning experiences using the AI capabilities of InvolveXR will also be showcased.
Elbert Waller, MSc, CHSOS has 10+ years of experience building clinical and simulation expertise as a Nurse Anesthetic and Program Director of Simulation, Academisch Medisch Centrum (AMC), Amsterdam. In his current role as Clinical Education Specialist at Lumeto, he’s blending evidence-based and best practice frameworks and Gen AI to develop impactful immersive learning experiences on Lumeto’s InvoveXR platform.
