Job Purpose: The individual in this position will provide technical support for all simulation operations, including, but not limited to: preparation, basic system programming, cleaning, maintenance and repair of computerized manikins and task trainers, software updates, hardware inventory and replacement, and related multimedia products, and lab supply/inventory management. This position will serve as the primary technical support for the Department of Nursing’s Resource and Simulation Center. The Simulation Operations Specialist will work closely with the Director of the Resource and Simulation Center to meet the simulation needs of faculty and students in the Department of Nursing
1. Must have at least one of the following:
• Associate Degree in Medical Simulation
• Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist
• Medical Simulation Operations certificate
2. Knowledge of medical terminology
3. Proficiency in MS software applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as Internet and database applications.
