The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine invites applications for the Manager of Standardized Patient Education (SPE). The manager of Standardized Patient Education manages and promotes the use of simulated and virtual patient education activities for the Office of Medical Education (OME) at the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine (UNR Med). The incumbent has primary responsibility for the recruitment, training, supervising, and evaluation of Standardized Patients (SPs). The Manager Ensures the development and maintenance of a qualified, vetted pool of SPs to adequately serve all scenarios scheduled in the SPE program. Develop evaluation instruments for SP assessment activities with special attention to validity and reliability issues. Manage meetings for budget and operational development, evaluation, and planning of revised, emergent and proposed SPE projects. This position also recruits, interview, trains, supervise and evaluates SPs, community volunteers and SP personnel in a variety of roles.
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of related work experience or Master’s Degree and 2 years of related work experience.
