If so, we invite you to consider an exciting leadership opportunity with the University Of Southern Maine’s College of Science, Technology & Health as the Director of Healthcare Simulation and Interprofessional Education. This position is responsible for the overall operations of healthcare students’ simulation and skills labs and includes budgetary oversight and supervision of technical support staff. Additionally, this is the inaugural Director for our new state of the art Boyne Family Advanced Simulation Center.

In this position you will advance the use and implementation of simulation and skills labs for healthcare faculty and students. You will join a team of faculty and staff coordinators in the School of Nursing along with faculty within the Departments of Linguistics, Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Athletic Training and other interprofessional academic units. In this role, the Director will have the opportunity to lead simulation education and create efficiency within the operation of healthcare simulation programs to sustain a positive student, faculty, and staff experience.

Qualifications:

Required:

Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s plus 5 years of related work experience.

Minimum two years management and/or supervisory experience.

Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in computer and technical equipment in order to maintain and troubleshoot all AV and simulator software and hardware.  Background in healthcare.

Certified as Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist or ability to become certified within the first two years of employment.

Based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant, the annual salary is $62,500 annually, plus a 10% employer contribution to the UMS retirement plan, subject to employer vesting policy. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and tuition waiver programs for employees and dependents.
