Description

The Gordon Center for Simulation and Innovation in Medical Education is a Center of Excellence of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a leader in simulation healthcare education for more than 50 years. The Prehospital and Emergency Training Division (PETD) develops, implements and disseminates educational programs that train thousands of healthcare providers throughout the world.

We are recruiting an emergency medicine faculty member to support the PETD Director in the development and implementation of simulation and technology-enhanced curricula, and in the administration of  innovative training programs. Additional responsibilities include teaching healthcare students and providers of all disciplines, as well as participating and leading education outcomes research projects and faculty development programs.

Patient care at the Jackson Memorial Hospital Emergency Department not to exceed 20%.

Requirements include:

  • Completion of an accredited Emergency Medicine Residency
  • Completion of a Healthcare Education Simulation Fellowship
  • Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation and outcomes research
