The Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont Office of Medical Education/Clinical Simulation Lab invites applications for the position of Manager of Operations for the Clinical Simulation Laboratory (CSL). This position reports to the Assistant Dean for Simulation. They oversee all daily operations for the non-human simulation activities in Clinical Simulation Laboratory in a supervisory and leadership position. Activities will include partnerships with the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine (LCOM), University of Vermont Medicine Center (UVMMC) and University of Vermont Health Network (UVMHN), College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) and other parties (i.e., Vermont National Guard). They will coordinate with the Director of Simulation Education and the Standardized Patient Educators team daily to ensure smooth operations of all daily simulations, assigning responsibilities, meeting with staff and leading the simulation activities. The Manager of Operations works in concert with the Assistant Dean, the Director of Education, faculty and staff from both the UVMMC, UVMHN, LCOM and CNHS, to ensure that the CSL is successful in meeting its strategic, operational, and educational goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field and two to four years’ related experience required. Prior supervisory experience is required. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience in a clinical setting is desirable. Proven success in working with delegates from different departments with competing interests is helpful.

Special Conditions
Non-standard work hours required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position, A post-offer pre-employment (POPE test) physical examination is required
