Bio | I have been a nurse for 32 years, a nurse educator for 16 years and a director of simulation for 5 years. I live in rural wisconsin were access to care is a challenge. We recently received a grant ot partner with our local healthcare system. We are teaching our undergraduate nursing students how to educate our rural cliens on the use of telehealth. We do it in the sim center and then they make a home visit with their instructor and HH nurse. The students really enjoy talking to a simulated patient. I am awaiting on an answer to a grant that I applied for to expand our SP usage. I also applied for a congressional grant through our federal senator to cover the cost of “HeyGen”, an AI/Avatar license with unlimited usage. We are really hoping to receive that one! |
