We do something similar to what Kelly posted. I compiled a Needs Assessment worksheet for my discussions with the programs. Then the information is transferred onto the simulation calendar which is retained for documentation. Lastly, when you multiply the number of simulations by the students and the length of each simulation, you will get usage time. I run 3 hours in the ADN program and 4 hours in the PN program. Hope this provides a bit of guidance.
