IMSH 2018: Lou Obendorf Lecture on Innovation in Healthcare Simulation By Wes Moore

Today at Day 2 of the 2018 International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare, Simulation Entrepreneur Lou Obendorf introduced the Plenary Speaker Wes Moore, CEO, Military Veteran, and television host. Wes inspired the audience regarding their efforts to keep pushing new boundaries with the service healthcare simulation champions provide humanity. He reminded us that the technologies and practices we put into practice have saved countless lives for his fellow servicemen and servicewomen.

Speaking to Martin Luther King Jr. Day, he asked us to go beyond the patience of words and talk, and to fight for the opportunity for all people to live life the fullest. He questioned us — who do we fight for, who do we choose to support, and what can we do differently to help those who need a champion. Wes Moore encouraged the audience to wake up each day and remember the hope that was bestowed upon us, to give back that hope to others.

The presentation was proceeded by an award and recognition ceremony, which highlighted the new SSH accredited simulation center members.
