Technology Highlights from CES 2012
Last week I was able to attend the 2012 CES or Consumer Electronics Show here in fabulous Las Vegas. This show highlights all the latest in advanced technology, some of which will one day end up in your healthcare simulation lab. For example, check out this video of the “WVIL”, a 31 mega pixel (yes you read that correctly) that you can detach the lens from the body to take pictures from anywhere.
Technology like this demonstrate that eventually you will be able to capture video of any moment from anywhere and display it anywhere else.
To check out some other amazing highlights from the show check out this Huffington Post “Best of CES 2012” Article. Be sure to notice the new 55″ OLED flatscreen tv from LG which is thinner than your pinky. Imagine having several of these on your sim lab walls with general hospital background environments continually playing during your scenario!
